kristinab has done the whole discipline a solid – acting on the idea that a wiki with current info on what’s going on at the various journals would be helpful for making decisions about where to send manuscripts. When deciding where to send my own papers, I usually spend about 19 emails inquiring about turn-around times, perceived fairness of the editorial decision, quality of the reviews, etc. Consolidating this type of information at sociojournals has the potential to be a great resource for all of us. Thanks, KB!

No problem! I just set up a quick and dirty wiki with the hope that the community will make it into something interesting. Btw, the password for editing pages is fromscatter.

Hmmm…maybe I should share my “I’ve-never-heard-of-Stata” experience!

ju – You certainly should! And do you have a blog I should know about?
kb – should have put the password in the original post. I’ll edit so it’s obvious. And thanks again!

even better – the updated link takes you to a wiki that doesn’t require a log-in and allows for anonymous posts. now people can get started posting!
